Hi! My name is Tina Pocha, and I am a writer, teacher, and student of life. I was born and raised in Bombay, India, but now make my home in Southern California, USA.
I came to this country as a young wife with no job and no prospects for getting one. After many (many!) years of going to school, I landed my first job as a lecturer at a local university and have taught writing to hundreds (possibly thousands!) of students ever since.
Currently, I am an academic and researcher, but over my lifetime, I have worn many different hats—actor, flight attendant, mother, poet, and now, writer.
Although I have written and published most of my adult life, it has been mostly academic stuff—stiff, formal, and, let’s face it, deathly boring! I wanted more.
I wanted to write about the things that mattered to me—art, literature, creativity, philosophy, the importance of change, relationships, success, presence, and living a whole and good life.
This blog is dedicated to creating and curating content that inspires personal growth—mine, and hopefully, yours.
I found your blog through the WP reader. I always enjoy self-improvement and consider myself a “seeker” in life; always trying to accomplish new goals and strive to be a better human. I look forward to reading more from your blog.
Thank you, Mrs. Mother Dirt! Love the name, btw! 🙂
