Tracking Wonder Quest # 4 is brought to us by Dr. Tina Seelig, faculty director of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program. She asks – What advice would your future self a year from now give you today?
My response this time around was immediate and pithy. I considered waiting a day to see if I wanted to elaborate on it, but no. Sometimes the best things come in little packages.
- Stop worrying – “Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart” (Rilke)
What you want to know is unknowable. Or maybe it is perfectly knowable–yes, you will be okay.
- Allow receiving – “Through allowing you become what you are–vast, spacious” (Tolle)
Be still. Make space for what is coming. Soften and open.
- You are already doing enough – “I have learned that to be with those I like is enough.” (Whitman)
Your tribe is waiting.
Some of the best responses to this question come from
Philipa Rees – The Wisdom of My Future Self (co-conspirator in the “less is more” movement)
Brenna Layne – Stardust (but oh, how I wish you could hear her read this! Breathtaking!)
Tanya Pryputniewicz – Tarot Visioning (for humor, beauty, and play–always learn something from her posts)
Suzi Banks Baum – Light Leaks (on the illumination of darkness – this is actually from a prior prompt, but it works as well for this one)
